Volunteer

Volunteering can take many forms and is not restricted to manual effort. We are grateful for all help offered and hope we can provide opportunities for all our volunteers whatever their age, interest or skill level. It may even be that we can offer you experience which will enhance your own skills and portfolio. You could be helping us and benefiting yourself at the same time!

You could help man the SNT stall at promotional events. This might involve handing out leaflets or talking to visitors about current projects. Training will be given!

You can volunteer to take part in work parties. These normally take place on the second Sunday in the month and the man to contact is the work party co-ordinator, Mel Sowerby. This is a great way to meet people and enjoy the satisfaction of getting your boots muddy! Physical effort is involved but tasks can be tailored to suit individual capability and preference. Again training will be given in the use of any equipment.

You may have a relevant specialist skill such as engineering, finance, IT or fundraising in which case we would be delighted to make contact with you and welcome your input.

We look forward to hearing from you and discussing the ways in which you can make a difference in helping us achieve our aims. Please fill in the form below to take the next step.

N.B. Whilst you are welcome to come to see any of our activities, we ask that you become a member of the Trust before volunteering regularly. This is primarily for insurance purposes.
